By: DhrithiGulvadi

His charismatic looks and jaw dropping dance performances has set trends globally. His humbleness encompassed with sheer discipline delineates him as the most desired actor in the world. We are talking about none other than Hrithik Roshan who has always been and will always be the youth icon forever.

A competitor to Khans:

During the reign of Khans in Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan entered the industry with the debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai which bestowed him Filmfare Awards for Best Debut and Best Actor. His Bollywood debut gave serious setbacks to Abhishek Bachchan’s career who too had debuted in the same year.

Played terrorist in the early days of his career:

When other actors picked up easy squishy films, Hrithik during his craze around the nation chose to play a terrorist in the film Fiza and Mission Kashmir. The movie had an average opening at the box office, however the actor had audience and critics praises for his work.

The dancing star:

Hrithik Roshan’s dance filled the void of Bollywood which was in hunt of a perfect dancer. The Ek Pal Ka Jeena dance of Hrithik Roshan not only proved his dancing deftness but also introduced a new genre of dance. Hrithik’s performance made every film complete and it was only him who could easily match to the steps of Prabhu Deva’s choreography in the song Main Aisa Kyun Hoon.

The first superhero of Bollywood :

Bollywood came with its first superhero Krrish and to be able to match it with the Hollywood’s standard been quite a challenge. However, Hrithik’s character as Krrish with cape and mask turned out to be a super hit blockbuster which was loved by all ages.

A versatile actor:

Hrithik has always been ahead of experimenting roles. From mentally disabled child in Koi Mil Gaya to a thief in Dhoom 2 and a magician in Guzaarish, Hrithik has always proved his mettle in acting.

No better than Hrithik for Historical roles:

His historical characters like Emperor Akbar in Jodha Akbar and Sarman in Mohenjo Daro made the audience wonder if it was for real. His art to mould into the character is evident enough of him being a flexible actor.

Winner of maximum Bollywood awards:

Out of 145 nominations till date, he won awards for 136 times. Kaho Na Pyaar Hai, Koi Mil Gaya, Krrish and Jodhaa Akbar are his most nominated films. Hrithik has won six filmfare awards. It has been noticed that Hrithik being the best performer always performs last at the award functions.

Bollywood’s Greek God:

His charismatic persona leaves every woman to fall in love with him. It is because of his great looks the actor has been compared to international stars and hence, he has been approached for many Hollywood projects. But the confirmation on the same is still waiting.

Amongst few Bollywood celebrities to have a wax statue:

Hrithik is the youngest celebrity to get a wax statue in Madame Tussauds in London. It is reported that his statue is the most kissed at the tourist hotspot.

A favourite of Bollywood for special appearances:

Whether it is his whistling act in I see you or his dance in Krazzy 4 or his special appearance in Om Shanti Om, Hrithik’s cameos have always spilled charm onscreen. If reports are to be believed, the actor had performed for his last year’s single Dheere Dheere for free of charge.

A fashion figure and a trendsetter:

Hrithik has always been the trendsetter in his films. His dapper look in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara or his stylish appearance in Dhoom 2, this man has rocked style statements with every film he has signed. He also has his own clothing line of fitness apparels HRX.
