Manushi Chhillar was recently crowned Miss World 2017 who said that she would love to work with Aamir Khan. He is a superstar known to make socially-relevant movies.
Manushi feels that all the actors in Bollywood are beautiful but Aamir and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra are her favourites. To which she said, “I’ll definitely want to work in an Aamir Khan film. I think he has some really challenging roles”.
When asked if she has any Bollywood plans at present, she said, “Right now Bollywood is not on the cards. I am on a mission to spread awareness about menstrual hygiene”. Then she added, “When I started this project- Menstrual hygiene in India, I realised that there is less awareness as far as menstrual hygiene and availability of sanitary napkins is concerned. Then I also realised that we need to make people aware of it.”
Manushi said in the initial weeks of the beauty pageant, several contestants thought her to be an actor.
“In the first week of the pageant, they thought I was a Bollywood actress. But jokes apart, we all are very similar.
Chhillar, who is from Haryana, said, “I am very grateful to the Government of Haryana for all the privileges they are offering to me, and one of them is that of a position that I can take at a government office. I would really like to contribute to the ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’ Aandolan”.
Chhillar’s win at the beauty pageant comes 17 years after Priyanka Chopra won the crown in 2000.
