India’s international star, Priyanka Chopra, has not been seen in any Bollywood film since Jai Gangaajal, which released in the beginning of 2016. Recently, there were reports that she was cast for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gustakhiyan, but the actress walked out of the film.
Her name was also being tossed around for Rakesh Sharma’s biopic titled Salute. The actress was supposed to play Aamir Khan’s wife in the movie. However, when Priyanka was asked about the film with Khan and her other Bollywood projects, she said that Mr Perfectionist is no more a part of the project.
“I have finalised two-three scripts. Now, I am left to make announcements. Rakesh Sharma biopic was one of those scripts. I was approached for that film when Aamir was doing it… He is not in the film now. We were supposed to do it in 2019. Now, I don’t know,” the actress said on the sidelines of Zee Cine Awards.
Some reports claim that superstar Shah Rukh Khan has replaced Aamir Khan in the Rakesh Sharma biopic. When PC was asked about the same, she said, “I don’t know. I haven’t got any confirmations. I haven’t spoken to Sid (Siddharth Roy Kapur) or Mahesh sir. As soon as I know, I will see.”
Priyanka Chopra is currently looking forward to the release of her Hollywood film, Isn’t It Romantic.
