According to the reports, Randeep Hooda is set to reteam with acclaimed filmmaker Mira Nair for a project. Having worked together on the 2001 film Monsoon Wedding, the untitled project will mark their reunion after a huge gap of 19 years.

Nair is presently working on a digital series, which is based on the iconic novel, A Suitable Boy, by Vikram Seth. It was first published in the year 1993. Randeep will be a part of the eight-episode series, which is being produced by BBC.

“Yes, it’s true I am working with Mira after almost 19 years and looking forward to it. It’s a bit early to speak more about the series or my role,” Randeep told a news agency.

BBC first announced its plans to adapt A Suitable Boy, one of the longest novels ever published, in 2017. The period drama, which is expected to hit the shooting floor soon, will feature an entirely non-white cast.

Meanwhile, Randeep Hooda is presently working with Imtiaz Ali on a film which is rumoured to be a sequel to the latter’s 2008 blockbuster, Love Aaj Kal. The movie also features Sara Ali Khan and Kartik Aaryan in lead roles.

The actor will also be seen in an upcoming Netflix series, Dhaka. It stars Chris Hemsworth in the lead role.
