Ajay Devgn is on cloud nine after the humongous success of his recently released comic-caper Golmaal Again. The film has just joined the coveted club of Rs. 200 crores and is still going pretty strong at the box office.
After Golmaal Again, Devgn was supposed to start work on a biopic on the hero of the 1989 Raniganj coalfield rescue operation, Jaswant Singh Gill. However, according to latest reports, the project has hit the roadblock.
When the biopic was announced a couple of months back, Rustom fame Tinu Suresh Desai’s name was projected as the director of the film. But now, it has turned out that he is no longer associated with the movie.
A reliable source reveals, “Tinu and Ajay met a few times. However, they couldn’t come to an understanding on certain key script points. Hence, Ajay is now likely to make the film with a new director on board.”
Recent reports suggest that the writing team has been instructed to tweak the film a little work and Ajay will start shooting for it once he completes Indra Kumar’s Total Dhamaal, which is all set to mount floors in December.
It remains to be seen who Ajay Devgn chooses as the new helmer of the project.
