Whether or not a film or the film members are surrounded by the controversy, the audience, however, knows the deserving and the undeserving quite well. The 48th International Film Festival of India has been in the news quite frequently for screening films and also not screening films. The festival began on November 22 in Goa. As the 48th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) was in the news for screening best of the best movies, the closing ceremony which was held today saw the presence of many Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Sridevi, Alia Bhatt , Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Sonali Bendre, Zaira Wasim, Papon Angaraag , Huma Qureshi , Karan Johar among others were in attendance at the event.

Best Film Award – 120 Beats Per Minute by Robin Campillo
Indian Film Personality of the Year Award- Amitabh Bachchan
Best Female Actor Award – Parvathy Thiruvoth Kottuvatta for Take Off
Best Male Actor Award – Nahuel Pérez Biscayart for Beats Per Minute
Best Director Award – Vivian Qu, Angels Wear White
Lifetime Achievement Award – Atom Egoyan
Best Debut Film of a Director Award – Kiro Russo for Dark Skull
ICFT Unesco Gandhi Medal – Kshitij A Horizon
Special Jury Award – Mahesh Narayanan for Take Off
Well, congratulations to the winners of the 48th International Festival of India (IFFI) . Whether or not the festival conducted fair judgement in choosing its winners may break in headlines in every media, but it has certainly set the stage for the newcomers in the film fraternity.
